Installing VisioncarePro is simple and straightforward:

1. From Shopify App Store: Search for "VisioncarePro" in the Shopify App Store and click "Add app"

2. Approve Permissions: Review and approve the required permissions for the app to function

3. Enable App Embed: Go to your Shopify theme settings (Online Store > Themes > Customize) and enable the VisioncarePro app embed block

4. Add Product Block: On your product page template, add the "Akeans VisioncarePro" block where you want the prescription form to appear

5. Configure Rules: Navigate to Eye Glasses or Contact Lenses in the app to create rules and assign products

After installation, you can access VisioncarePro from your Shopify admin panel under "Apps".

To set up Contact Lens functionality:

1. Navigate to Contact Lenses: Click on "Contact Lenses" in the sidebar menu

2. Create a Rule: Click "Create New Rule" to start configuring your contact lens products

3. Select Products: Choose which products should have the contact lens prescription form

4. Configure Prescription Fields: Set up the required fields like:

- Power/Sphere values

- Base Curve (BC)

- Diameter (DIA)

- Cylinder and Axis (for toric lenses)

- Add Power (for multifocal lenses)

5. Save and Publish: Save your rule and it will automatically appear on the selected products

Customers will see the prescription form when they visit the product page and can enter their contact lens prescription details.

VisioncarePro supports multiple prescription types to cover all your customers' needs:

Eyeglasses Prescription Types:

Single Vision: For customers who need correction for one field of vision (near or far)

Progressive Vision: For customers who need correction for multiple distances without visible lines

Reading: For customers who only need reading glasses

Non-Prescription: For customers who want frames with non-prescription lenses (plano lenses)

Frame Only: For customers who want to purchase frames without any lenses (adds directly to cart)

Each prescription type can have its own lens groups, lens options, lens transition, and lens coatings (Ultimate or any Commission plan) with custom pricing.

Contact Lens Configuration:

- Contact lens rules are configured separately in the Contact Lenses section

- You can set up prescription fields like Power/Sphere, Base Curve (BC), Diameter (DIA)

- For toric lenses: Cylinder and Axis values

- For multifocal lenses: Add Power values

Yes, VisioncarePro is designed with privacy and compliance in mind:

HIPAA Compliance (USA):

- Prescription data is encrypted in transit and at rest

- Access controls limit who can view customer prescription information

- Audit logs track all access to prescription data

- We provide Business Associate Agreements (BAA) for merchants who require them

GDPR Compliance (EU):

- Customers can request access to their prescription data

- Right to erasure is supported - customers can request data deletion

The Auto PD (Pupillary Distance) Tool allows customers to measure their PD using their device camera:

For Merchants - Setup:

1. Navigate to Settings in the VisioncarePro app

2. Enable the "PD Measurement Tool" option

3. Save your settings

For Customers - Usage:

1. Customer clicks the Find your PD link on the prescription form

2. Allow camera access to the device

3. Position the head in front of the camera & follow the instructions

4. Once the distance & head position are detected, it's automatically calculates their PD measurement

5. When click Use this PD button, The value is automatically filled into the prescription form

Tips for Accurate Measurements:

- Ensure good lighting conditions

- Hold the camera at arm's length

- Look directly at the camera

- Take multiple measurements for accuracy, if needed

The Auto PD Tool provides measurements that are suitable for most prescription eyewear.

VisioncarePro creates add-on products in Shopify for each lens configuration:

How It Works:

1. When you create a Lens Group, Lens Option, or Lens Coating, VisioncarePro automatically creates a corresponding Shopify product

2. These products are created with the vendor "VisioncarePro" and product type "VisioncarePro."

3. By default, when customers select options, these add-on products are added to their cart along with the frame

4. Navigate to Settings in the VisioncarePro app and enable the "Use Bundle" option to use the bundle feature

5. When the "Use Bundle" option is enabled, the add-on products are added to the cart as a bundle & display as one product in the cart

Lens Hierarchy:

Lens Groups: Top-level lens categories (e.g., "Standard Lenses", "Premium Lenses")

Lens Options: Specific lens choices within each group (e.g., "Blue Light Blocking", "Photochromic")

Lens Coatings: Additional coating options (Ultimate or any Commercial plan only)

The Extract Rx with AI feature allows customers to upload their prescription and have it automatically extracted:

Enabling the Feature:

1. Go to Settings in the VisioncarePro app

2. Enable the "Allow extraction of prescription using AI" option

3. Save your settings

How It Works:

1. Customer selects "Upload Prescription" as their prescription method

2. They upload a photo or scan of their prescription

3. Our AI analyzes the document and extracts prescription values

4. Fields are automatically populated in the prescription form

5. Customer reviews and confirms the extracted values

6. They can manually adjust any values if needed

Supported Prescription Formats:

- Printed prescriptions from optometrists

Extracted Fields:

- Sphere (SPH) for both eyes

- Each order contains the complete prescription details entered by the customer

- Prescription data is permanently linked to the order for reference

Accessing Prescription Data:

1. Navigate to Orders in the VisioncarePro sidebar

2. Click on any order to view details

3. The prescription information is displayed with the order

4. You can view, print, or export the prescription data

Data Management Features:

Order History: All past prescriptions are stored with their orders

Prescription Uploads: Customer-uploaded prescription images are saved

Customer Prescription History:

- Customers can save their prescriptions for future orders

- Returning customers can select from saved prescriptions

VisioncarePro supports multiple languages for your international customers:

Accessing Translation Settings:

1. Click on "Translation" in the sidebar menu

2. You'll see all translatable text strings

Translating Content:

1. Find the text you want to translate

2. Enter your translation in the corresponding field

3. Save your changes

4. The translated text will appear on your storefront
